Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what personal data Helloflight (www.helloflight.in) collects, why, and how it is used and protected. It is written with the Indian Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) in mind.

1. Who is responsible for your data

Helloflight is operated as an unregistered sole-proprietorship business of Dr S S Malik (India), who acts as the data fiduciary for the site. Privacy contact and grievance redressal: easeadventure@gmail.com.

2. What we collect

  • Account data — your name and email address, provided when you register directly or via Google sign-in. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile picture URL from Google; we never see your Google password.
  • Purchase data — study passes and orders you buy, coupons you apply, and the payment status returned by our payment processor. We do not collect or store card numbers, UPI PINs, or banking credentials — these go directly to Razorpay.
  • Charter requests — routes, dates, passenger counts, and contact details you submit when requesting a charter quote.
  • Forum content — posts, replies, and reports you submit in Discuss, linked to your account.
  • Technical data — IP address, browser type, and request logs, kept for security and debugging; and your theme preference stored locally in your browser.

3. Cookies & similar technologies

  • Session — a signed token in your browser keeps you logged in.
  • Preferences — your light/dark theme choice is stored in your browser's localStorage and never leaves your device.
  • Affiliate attribution — our Travel section loads a script from our affiliate network (Travelpayouts) which may set cookies so that a booking you make on a partner site can be attributed to Helloflight. These cookies identify the referral, not your identity on our site.
  • Embedded video — Inspirations videos are click-to-play: no YouTube code or cookies load until you press play. Once you do, YouTube's own privacy policy applies.

4. How we use your data

  • To provide the services: account access, study-pass entitlements, forum participation, charter quote handling.
  • To process payments and prevent fraud (with Razorpay).
  • To send transactional messages — order confirmations, booking updates — by email or WhatsApp. We do not send marketing without your consent.
  • To moderate the forum and keep the platform safe and lawful.
  • To meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations.

5. Who we share it with

  • Razorpay — to process payments and refunds.
  • Charter operators — the details of your charter request, so they can quote and operate your flight.
  • Google — only if you choose Google sign-in.
  • Affiliate partners — receive only anonymous referral identifiers when you click an outbound travel link, never your name or email.
  • Authorities, where disclosure is required by law.

We do not sell your personal data.

6. Storage & security

Data is stored on cloud infrastructure with access limited to the operator of the site. Passwords are stored hashed, payment credentials are never stored, and admin actions on the platform are audit-logged. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate to the data we hold.

7. Retention

Account and purchase records are kept while your account is active and as long as tax and accounting law requires. Forum posts remain after account closure unless you request removal. Logs are rotated on a short cycle.

8. Your rights

Under the DPDP Act you may request: access to the personal data we hold about you, correction of inaccurate data, erasure where we have no legal obligation to retain it, and grievance redressal. Write to easeadventure@gmail.com — we respond within 30 days. If unsatisfied, you may escalate to the Data Protection Board of India as provided under the Act.

9. Children

Purchases and accounts are intended for users 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children; if you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes

We may update this policy as the platform evolves; the "Last updated" date reflects the current version. Material changes will be highlighted on the site.
